Thanks to all who came out tonight! It was fun catching up and eating cookies with you. For those who had read the book, thanks for some good discussion. I hadn't really considered the pedophile element to the main character and I agree that it was overly descriptive. For the rest, we definitely had plenty to talk about and plenty to drink. Chris says THANK YOU for leaving such good leftovers. Ann, we missed you but hope you are having fun with your sisters!

June 20th book: Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea. A light-hearted read appropriate for a poolside meeting at Hilary's. Let's meet at 1:00 that day so we can enjoy the sunshine for the better part of the afternoon.

July book: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. OK Joy, I'm trusting your literary expertise on this one. I loved the original (in face I wrote my college essay on Elizabeth Bennett) so I hope this version can hold its own.

I think Joy was the first to reply that she could host in July. How about Monday, July 13th? That will definitely be my last meeting so someone had better step up to run this when I'm gone! Any volunteers?
