Thanks for having us over, Hilary. We had a good time even though we could only see the pool through the drizzle. We appreciate you sacrificing your lungs for the possibility of swimming, though. Let us know on the next sunny day when we can come over to lounge poolside, enjoy more snacks from your garden, and read trashy magazines... maybe Saturday?

Next meeting: Monday, July 13th, the usual 6:00 - 8:00 or so time at Joy's house to discuss Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith. This book is on Oprah's summer reading list which just goes to show that working in a library really does give you the inside scoop on the literary world. Joy was recommending this before Oprah even did!

We know Joy always has delicious homemade treats for us all but we should try to also bring something to share (I'll be packing wine).

And I'm still looking for someone to take over the emails/blog after mid-July. I like the idea that you'll rotate the responsibility for emailing everyone to whomever is hosting, but who's hosting next and what are we reading? I'm totally down for skyping in to meetings and, whenever possible, arranging the meetings around my (inevitable) visits. I'm happy to share the blog editing info or just go back to an email list, whatever's easier. Maybe a Facebook group?
