January 2009
A new year and a new medium for sharing information about the book club!
Too fancy for you? Well you gotta learn this stuff to keep up with the kids!
Thanks to Ruthie for hosting us tonight. I think that was probably more like a party than an actual book discussion, but the food and company were excellent.
White Teeth by Zadie Smith got the most votes for our March book. Dates are still to be determined but we're aiming for a Thursday evening.
Drinks/dinner out on the town afterwards will follow. Hannah has offered to host an official meeting at her house so metime after the 19th - details coming soon.
I plan to just post info on here instead of emailing everyone so your inbox doesn't get as cluttered and it's easier to find the info when you need it. I could only add 10 email addresses to be notified when I publish something on here, so let me know if you don't want to be one of those 10.
If you didn't get an email and want to, you can create an account through Feed Mailer to receive an email everytime a new post is made here by subscribing to the RSS feed for this page by clicking this icon

oooh. I like this. I know I'm probably missing the point entirely, but I love the teal and orange colors. =)
Hey all,
So I discovered this book when someone requested it via Interlibrary Loan. It is a modern day retelling of the story of Cyrano de Bergerac. I don't know if maybe we want to add it to the list. It might be a little lighter than some of the things currently on the list.
Food of Love by Anthony Capella
I know you are just testing me with this Blog...well here I am. You can add our December book to the list, Holidays on Ice and don't forget my favorites - Under the Banner of Heaven and Looking for Alaska.
Thanks for keeping us current!
we read Memory Keeper's Daughter, Spook, Middlesex, Night by Elie Wiesel, The Princess Bride ... after that I started school but I think you got those....
Can't forget Rumspringa!
